Escape your everyday
ESCAPE TO THESE
Tiny Houses surrounded by nature
Kokomea means Sunset Glow in Te Reo Māori. We chose this name for our 35 acre piece of coastal paradise near Raglan, NZ because our land gets every last drop of sun until it sets in the evening and the sunsets are amazing.
Our dream was to provide romantic, healing, tiny house escapes for two; a treehouse, a converted bus and a little cottage in the woods.
Come experience what it’s like to live off-the-grid in a tiny house nestled in nature.
Take time to rest and unplug from your everyday with a special person in your life.
Stop, breathe fresh air, relax and revive.

It’s such a relaxing and beautiful place that the first thing I do when I get home from a visit is to check out the calendar to see when there are dates available for the next visit.
We have stayed with Tara & Guillaume a few times now & consider the space they’ve created one of our favourite getaways. We lead busy lives in the Bay of Plenty & to stay at The Love Bus helps us completely unwind … instantly.
A rustic space inspired by nature with exquisite views is what you’ll get staying here. You’re surrounded by a forest full of medical kawakawa along with beautiful walks & ocean views which make for your famous west coast sunsets.
Definitely a place that energises our goals & feeds our inspiration for change.
An incredible way place stay for a couple of nights. It is a great place to go if you want a break from modern life. The details are great fresh flowers, outdoor bath and the fire pit.
We loved our stay at the LoveBus. It was exactly the little break we needed. The bed was extremely comfortable, everything was really clean and beautiful and the views were to die for. Can’t wait to come back again soon.
We had the most amazing time here and would recommend this to anyone! The views were stunning and it was so nice to unwind from normal life. The interior of the bus is so well done and we felt right at home. We’ll be back again for sure!
Just stayed for a second time at the treehouse and it was just as spectacular second time around. Such a peaceful spot and the perfect place to unplug from city life.
Beautiful secluded spot, providing the perfect “switch off”. Views are incredible and the hosts are really helpful. Ideal for a weekend getaway and very romantic! Walkable distance from Kairioi track which is pretty cool and a great escape! Magical!
The treehouse was a perfect place for us to stay in Raglan and we really enjoyed the setting with the view to the ocean and the off the grid living. Raglan is one of my favourite places in NZ and the treehouse made the stay all the more special for us. Tara and Guillaume were fantastic hosts, around if we needed them but left us to enjoy our time. Thank you, would love to stay again!

Location & Nearby Attractions
Many of our guests arrive and don’t want to leave for the whole time they’re here. But if you do want to get out and explore Raglan and the surrounds, here some recommendations on places to visit. You can also check out our Cool Things to do in Raglan blog.
Restaurants
Our favourites are Solscape (fully plant based), Wallis Bistro, Rock-it, and The Shack. If you’re looking for a good takeout, then visit the Burrito shop down Volcom lane, Raglan Roast Food Department for pizza, or Jo’s Takeaways at Te Kopua, or Raglan Fish at the Wharf for fish & chips.
Sight Seeing
Te Toto gorge is just up the road from here, approx 1.5kms away. Bridal Veil Falls is a spectacular 55m waterfall about 15 mins from Raglan in the direction of Hamilton.
Bars & Lounges
The Harbour View pub is a good place for a beer in the sun in the evening, as is Rock-it Kitchen. If you’re looking for a good music venue then check out the Yot Club.
Biking & Hiking
There is a great Mountain Bike track just outside of Raglan, ask us for directions. Raglan has some spectacular hikes available of various lengths and difficulty levels. We have a beautiful bush walk on our property down to a picnic tree. We have two E-Bikes (electric mountain bikes) and two standard mountain bikes for rent. Ask us for more info.
